There is something very special about elopements, courthouse weddings, or otherwise small nuptials. They take stripping away all the "fluff" in the wedding industry to a whole new level. Sarah and Sho were just overflowing with giggles and smiles looking forward to job interviews in new states and their future together as a married couple. When I asked if there was any particular significance to why they had chosen a seemingly random Thursday morning to tie the knot, they reminded me that the following day was Chinese New Year and the old Chinese saying is "Whether you are rich or poor, having a wife will bless you with a happy Chinese New Year." I just think that is the sweetest thing. I love it. And I'm so happy I was there for it.
